Almost a quarter of British children are already overweight by the age of three.
A World Health Organisation analysis found that 23 per cent of three-year-olds are overweight or obese – the second highest figure in Europe.
That data comes just a day after warnings that UK faces an obesity timebomb, with the vast majority of adults expected to be overweight within just 15 years.
Experts said more needs to be done to halt to stem the rising tide of obesity and called for the Government to clamp down on the sale of junk food and sugary drinks to children. Full article
