Scotland’s Play Vision Statement and Action Plan 2025-2030 – Children’s Version Poster is a Scottish Government publication designed to reflect the vision of play for Scotland for the next five years and the steps the Scottish Government will take within that time to achieve their vision and aims.
Play Scotland was delighted to work closely with the Scottish Government to develop the Children’s Version Poster in collaboration with children and young people across Scotland.
“It is so important that children and young people are involved at every stage of policy development, and that these much-welcome commitments from the Scottish Government are accessible inclusive, and understandable to the children and young people they relate to”.
“Play is a vitally important part of childhood. It can be exciting, it can be exhausting. It can be joyful, it can be challenging. It can help us adapt to new places or situations express ourselves to other people and make friends”
“All children and young people should be able to play, no matter where they live
or what they look like. Play should be inclusive, so all children and young people
can play safely in their communities.”
This is a clear commitment from the Scottish Government to play opportunities and experiences for all our children and young people.
