20th November 2014 marked 25 years since the adoption of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child at the General Assembly in New York.
The Convention has changed the way children are viewed and treated – in other words, as human beings with a distinct set of rights (42 Articles).
These rights describe what a child needs to survive, grow, and live up to their potential in the world. They apply equally to every child, no matter who they are or where they come from.
Play Scotland promotes and delivers on Article 31 which states that “all children have a right to relax and play, and to join in a wide range of activities”
To celebrate we would like you to design the front page of our 2014 Annual Review.
The closing date for entries is 15 December 2014. The winning designs will be used for Play Scotland promotional materials. The winner will receive a £50 ASDA voucher and a Play Scotland goodie bag. Five runners up will each receive a £10 ASDA voucher and a Play Scotland goodie bag.
Play Scotland decision is final.
